Jake represents renewable energy clients throughout the United States, assisting them in siting, developing, and financing utility-scale solar, wind, and battery storage projects. His experience as in-house real estate counsel and director of real estate for a large renewable energy development company—where he gained experience developing and financing dozens of complex projects—gives him unique insight into how to help clients achieve their goals in project development.

Jake assists in every aspect of real estate for renewable energy projects, including preparing and negotiating site control documents, reviewing title and survey, performing title and survey curative, negotiating title policies, and acting as lead or local real estate counsel for project financing related to construction debt and tax equity investment. In addition, Jake represents clients in mergers and acquisitions performing real estate due diligence and assisting in preparing project acquisition agreements.

Jake also has extensive experience conducting mineral title examinations for fee, federal, and state lands throughout the United States for traditional energy clients and guiding them through exploration, production, and transportation of extracted minerals.
