Regulatory Enforcement & Compliance

Our attorneys have significant experience in advising clients regarding statutes and rules governing their operations on both federal and state lands. Our attorneys also routinely defend companies confronted with federal investigation and enforcement proceedings and represent our clients in administrative litigation before the Interior Board of Land Appeals and U.S. Department of Justice.

At Lear & Lear, our attorneys interface with federal officials at the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land management, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Forest Service, and the  Environmental Protection Agency to facilitate lease issuance, permit approvals, project authorizations, and the siting of infrastructure as well as to ensure compliance with the governing rules and regulations. We work closely with clients in the preparation of necessary permit applications and requests for securing the required authorizations for exploration, production, unitization, and help develop strategies to facilitate time project completion. We have also worked with Indian tribes on public land development and management issues.
